The women at PSNBC want to know God more and help others know Him. We meet and work together to help each other grow.
BIBLE STUDY
The women meet for Bible Study on Wednesdays at 12pm and Sundays at 4pm. Both groups have an indepth study of a book of the Bible. Because this study only uses the Bible as its source, women should feel free to join at any time. No one will be behind or unable to pick up at the verses studied that week.
Book of the Bible currently studied: 1 Samuel
MISSIONS
The women lead the church in learning about missions through the Women Mission's Union (WMU). The WMU at PSNBC participates in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions and the Annie Armstrong Offering for North American Missions. They strive to support the missionaries of today not only monetarily, but also in prayer.
The women also desire to be missionaries locally through activities and collections throughout the year.
Our Young-At-Heart group is busy, busy. busy. Outings, Senior adult lunches (1st Tuesday Every month @ 12PM) and their willingness to Mentor the next generation is amazing. When you are part of this group you will never be lonely. They have programs such as Senior 2 Senior, which is when a senior adult adopts a high school senior for their senior year to pour into and pray for them as they get ready for the next step in life. Senior Adult Sunday (1st Sunday in May), nursing home ministry, and new opportunities are always taking shape. If you want more information contact Mrs. Carolyn Mathis or Mrs. Kay Mullis or check the church calendar for a glimpse at what they are up to next!
Aftershock (PSNBC) Student Ministries works each week to make a difference in the lives of Middle and High School students. We understand some of the challenges they face, and it's our goal to encourage and strengthen them along the way. We provide opportunities like Sunday School (Grades 6-8 & 9-12) Sundays @ 9:45AM, Shockwave (Wednesday @ 6:30PM) to learn the Bible, build relationships, and serve others in ministry. The PSNBC Student calendar is packed with events that allow our students to build meaningful relationships, and we work to create environments where students can ask questions, search out answers and listen to God's leading in their life. Join us Sunday & Wednesdays and Hope to see you soon!
Find us on FacebookThe Poplar Springs North Baptist Church Music Ministry desires, above all things, to lift high the name of Jesus! It is with a determined heart that we strive to be passionately God-centered, Biblically saturated, Gospel rich and Christ exalting. John Piper expressed it well in his statement, "our hearts have a thousand thirsts. We run to countless things to satisfy us, but in the end, only Jesus can meet the longings of our souls." As we come together each week to worship, it is our steadfast intent to RENEW our minds in, REMEMBER with gratitude for, and RESPOND with awe and wonder to the fact that JESUS IS THE ANSWER to every thirst of our souls. With these expressed goals in full focus, Poplar Springs North has been blessed with a rich history of musical opportunities. Such opportunities include choirs of all ages (Preschool, Children, Youth & Adults), seasonal cantatas/musicals and dramas as well as instrumental worship and praise. As God continues to bless, we seek to grow in new ways of honoring Him through music and worship and are thrilled to continue as instruments in the hands of our Great God! Music Minister, Glenn Cowart, is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. He can be reached by phoning the church office at 478-353-1461 or he would love to meet you face to face at any of our weekly services.
